Ms. Cai Ying has over 15 years of experience in labour law practice. She previously served as a full-time arbitrator at the Shanghai Putuo District Labour and Personnel Dispute Arbitration Court for seven years, during which she adjudicated over 1,000 labour dispute cases, including multiple high-profile collective labour disputes with significant social impact.
Ms. Cai has deep expertise in PRC labour laws, regulations and their practical application, with a primary focus on labour and employment, dispute resolution, and corporate compliance. She is recognised by The Legal 500 as a “Key Lawyer” in China Labour & Employment.

Represented a foreign-invested enterprise in a non-compete dispute and secured comprehensive victories in arbitration, first instance and appellate proceedings
Represented a US-funded manufacturing company in a series of claims brought by three employees for alleged wrongful termination compensation; achieved a full reversal from adverse arbitration awards to victories at both first instance and appellate levels
Acted for a securities firm in multiple employment disputes with its vice president, ultimately reaching a settlement that avoided substantial compensation liabilities for the client
