Personal Profile
Lawyer Yang Zhe worked in the administrative department of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security for nearly a decade. He has long been engaged in research on social insurance laws and regulations in Shanghai, and is well-versed in legal provisions and practical matters concerning labor legal relations and corporate human resources management, with extensive administrative experience accumulated over the years.
Since commencing his legal practice, his core services cover non-litigation advisory services including group employee resettlement, negotiation with senior management, emergency negotiation, in-house compliance training and dispute representation, as well as litigation representation. He has led or participated in over a hundred corporate employee resettlement and transfer projects, and taken the lead in handling large-scale employee resettlement projects and cross-regional coordinated resettlement assignments with branches nationwide undertaken by the law firm. Accordingly, he boasts abundant practical experience in group employee resettlement programs and the resolution of labor disputes involving special categories of employees.
Representative Matters
Assisted various clients in more than 120 group employee resettlement projects arising from corporate shutdown, consolidation, merger, spin-off, relocation or organizational restructuring, enabling clients to properly achieve project goals while preventing labor disputes and legal risks. He takes the lead in overseeing large-scale employee resettlement projects and nationwide cross-branch coordinated resettlement assignments undertaken by the law firm.
Supported diverse clients in over 30 emergency negotiation projects triggered by special employee-related incidents, facilitating proper resolution of relevant disputes.
Assisted a state-owned banking group in drafting a complete set of labor rules and regulations as well as standardized personnel employment documents, and compiled guidelines for labor and personnel administration, helping the client strengthen compliance management and operational efficiency.
Supported two conglomerates integrate internal rules, compensation and benefit systems post-merger, so as to realize standardized corporate management in a steady manner.
Led the team to deliver a complex downsizing project for a Fortune 500 Japanese enterprise, covering workforce reduction at its Shanghai headquarters and closure of its Shenzhen branch. With comprehensive planning and well-devised strategies and implementation approaches, the project achieved a 100% signing rate among affected employees.
Led the team to assist a Fortune 500 foreign-invested enterprise with the closure of its Sino-foreign joint venture subsidiary and corresponding employee resettlement. The project secured full employee sign-offs and resolved long-standing historical issues spanning nearly two decades.
Supported a foreign company in carrying out a statutory layoff program involving over 300 employees, ensuring smooth and orderly completion of government filing, trade union consultations, and one-on-one negotiations and contract sign-offs with all affected staff.
